WSOP.com officially launched in 2013 when Nevada, New Jersey and Delaware all legalized online poker. Initially, traffic wasn’t great, but it improved following the signing of shared liquidity agreements with Delaware in 2015 and New Jersey in 2018.

That could change soon, however. The Biden administration declined to appeal a federal appeals court ruling regarding the Wire Act. The previous administration believed the act applied to all forms of online gambling beyond sports betting.
The gambling industry filed suit and won the first round in court. The appeals court affirmed that ruling in January 2021. It will now be up to individual states to come to agreements regarding interstate compacts. That process will take some time, but means that WSOP.com’s All American Poker Network should be expanding in the future.
Pennsylvania and Michigan are excellent additions to the network. Pennsylvania has a population of 12.8 million and Michigan checks in at jus over 10 million, which, in addition to New Jersey (8.9 million), Nevada (3.1 million) and Delaware (1 million), would bring the network’s reach to about 35.8 million.
